One night I dreamed I was walking
Along the beach with the Lord,
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there was only one.
This bothered me because I noticed
During the low periods of my life when I was
Suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, You promised me,
Lord, that if I followed you,
You would walk with me always.
But I noticed during the most trying periods
Of my life there has only been
One set of prints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
Have you not been there for me?
The Lord replied,
The times when you have seen only one set of footprints
It was then that I carried you.

Christopher De'Andre Roberts was born on June 28, 1996 in Seattle, Washington to Christopher Todd and Delisa A.  Roberts.  Growing up in Seattle, De'Andre attended Seattle Public Schools and graduated from South Lake High School in 2015.   De'Andre accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized along with two cousins Maclin Jr. and Malik McFerrin by the late Pastor, Dr.  Robert Houston of the Beacon Hill First Baptist Church in Seattle, WA.
De'Andre was a high-spirited young man, full of life, energy and exceptionally talented. He participated in a variety of sports.

Visitation Services will be held from 1pm-3pm Friday June 5 at Cady's Chapel 8418 S 222nd St. Kent, WA.

A Public Graveside Service will be -Saturday June 6, at 2pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery-Renton.
