Dorothea Jenson

Dorothea Jenson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to John Willie and Jerene Jenson.
Doretha, as she liked to go by, was the baby of Jerene’s 11 children. She attended and
graduated from Vo-Tech(now SECTA). She went to pursue a degree in Journalism at the
University of Nevada-Reno.
Doretha loved taking care of children until she was no longer able to do so. She played
all the games she loved(spades, tunk, dominoes, and buffalo). Doretha would often say
“what you fail to realize is I am a 56-year old woman and

I am going to be me! It is what
it is”
Dorothea was preceded in death by father John Willie Jenson, Mother Jerene Warren
Jenson, Brother Roy Dean Jenson, sister Eloise Andrews, and sister Clarice Jenson.
Doretha leaves to cherish her memories, her son Rashon Jenson(Sha’Tiya), brother
Rudean Gatson(Susan), sister Earlene(Sam Roberson), sister in law Debra Jenson,
sister Evelyn Jenson-Davidson, brother Prates Lee Jenson, brother Willie “Bird”
Jenson(Miyako), sister Shirl(Chuck Redic), and brother Emmanuel Jenson(Tammie).
Doretha had a special bond with many, however Saniah Stinett was always her “baby
girl”. Last but certainly not least she had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dorothea will be missed tremendously.
