Michael who was affectionately called Michael Bolo as a child growing up, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on July 23, 1959.
He is remembered as a kind and loving person even though he was known to be very rough especially when playing contact sports.
Holidays spent with his grandparents and cousins in the country parts of Manchester, Jamaica, were memorable.
Michael was known as a man who could “eat” and had a love for good food.
He migrated to the United States in 1969 to live with his parents and siblings in New York.
At the age of 17, Michael entered the Army and over the course of 10 years obtained commendations such as the
Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Commendation Medal and Overseas Service Ribbon.
Michael was honorably discharged from the Army in 1987 and continued his love for aeronautics with a successful 30+ year career with Boeing in Everett, Washington.
The one thing Michael enjoyed more than anything, was his trips to Florida, so that he can go to the beach.
He enjoyed being out in the sun and getting “that good burn”.
Michael Jeffery Hoo passed away suddenly on February 25, 2025.
