Mother Juanita Alice Thomas

Juanita Alice Thomas was born January 27, 1924 to Elisha and Zela M. Gill in Okolona, Arkansas. She confessed Christ at an early age.  

In 1944 she left Arkansas and came to Seattle, where she worked at Boeing.  She was joined in holy matrimony to Booker T. McKinion on August 21, 1945 in this union there are three children Bernita Alice McKinion,  Booker T. McKinion, Jr and Billy Earl McKinion all of Seattle, WA.  In 1964 she was joined in matrimony to Willie L. Thomas, in this union there are three children Theresa Lynn Thomas, Patricia Ann Thomas and Nathaniel Lee Thomas all of Seattle.  She became a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist church in 1963.  She served as an active member of the Gospel Choir, and on the Deaconess Board.  Later she moved her membership to the Cornerstone Baptist Church of the Bible, and later moved to Rosehill Missionary Baptist church. She loved singing around the churches in the community.

Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memories six children; Bernita McKinion, Booker T. McKinion Jr(Catalina), Billy McKinion, Theresa Thomas, Patricia Thomas and Nathaniel Thomas Sr., grandchildren Erasto Jackson (Lelieth).Anthony Smith (Ruth),Jerell Thomas (Hayley), Nathaniel Thomas Jr. (Sheriann), Shayla Thomas, Elliott Thomas, Tasha McKinion, Rasheedah Bremond (Jordan), Booker T. McKinion, III and fifteen great-grandchildren all of Seattle and a host of nieces and nephews.  Her beloved sisters Elia M. Sorrell and Bertha Mae Woods of Springfield, MA and is preceded in death by brothers Shepard T. Anderson, Charles Gill, Billy Gill, Samuel Gill.
