What rejoicing there must have been in Heaven when on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Raythel Thompson Sr. made his safe flight from Earth to Heaven. "Pepper aka Ray" as he was affectionately known by close family and friends, was born on July 17, 1968, to Alfred Thompson Jr. and Frances Thompson-Cannon, In Pineville, Louisiana. He was baptized December 22, 1977 at Beacon Hill First Baptist Church By the Late Rev Houston. He attended Rainier Beach High School and graduated in 1986. Ray was known for his amazing football skills.
Raythel Sr. was preceded in death by his father Alfred Thompson Jr., Brother Alfred Thompson III and Sister Shelia Thompson. Raythel Sr. loving spirit will continue to live through his mother Frances Thompson-Cannon, (daughters) Jazmin Thorne, Kimberly Murray, and Nevah Thompson Sons Raythel Thompson Jr., and MyCal'Ray Thompson (stepdaughter) Jamila Archer. He also leaves a granddaughter Azarra Smith and stepgrandson Danuell Johnson. He also leaves to cherish his memories with two sister's Nawatha Thompson-Harris, Corey of (Houston Texas) and Quence Miller, of (Dallas, Texas). Three brother's Glenn Thompson Sr., Bryan Austin, and Deon Austin, (Seattle, Wa) and a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends. Raythel Sr. will forever be remembered for his "crazy talking", “hard love” and his laugh.
